Age Requirements

Early Years Programme

  • •Nursery 1: Minimum age of 3 years by September 1st
  • •Nursery 2: Minimum age of 4 years by September 1st
  • •Kindergarten: Minimum age of 5 years by September 1st

Primary & Secondary

  • •Primary 1: Minimum age of 6 years by September 1st
  • •JSS 1: Minimum age of 12 years (after completing 6 years of primary education)
  • •SSS 1: Must have completed JSS 3 with satisfactory results

Begin your journey by downloading and completing our comprehensive application form. You can also fill out the online application form on this page.

Submit all required documents including birth certificate, previous school records (if applicable), passport photographs, and immunization records. Our admissions team will review your application promptly.

Assessment Process

Assessment

For Primary and Secondary school applicants, students will take an age-appropriate assessment test to evaluate their academic readiness and potential.

The assessment covers English Language, Mathematics, and general reasoning. Early Years applicants (Nursery and KG) will participate in informal observation and interaction sessions instead of formal testing.

Interview Process

Interview

Meet with our school administrators for a personal interview. This is an opportunity for us to get to know your family and understand your child's unique needs and interests.

We'll discuss your educational goals, answer any questions about our curriculum and school policies, and explore how we can best support your child's growth and development.

Admission Decision

Admission Decision

After completing the assessment and interview, you'll receive our admission decision within 5-7 business days via email and phone call.

If admitted, we'll provide detailed information about enrollment procedures, fee structure, school supplies, and orientation dates. Welcome to the Babcecil Schools family!

Required Documents

For All Applicants:

  • Completed application form
  • Birth certificate or age declaration
  • Two recent passport photographs
  • Immunization records (for Early Years and Primary)
  • Valid identification of parent/guardian

For Transfer Students:

  • Transfer certificate from previous school
  • Last report card or academic transcript
  • Letter of recommendation from previous school (optional)
  • Evidence of clearance from previous school

Assessment & Interview

Assessment Test

For Primary and Secondary school applicants, an age-appropriate assessment test will be administered to evaluate:

  • →English Language proficiency
  • →Mathematics skills
  • →General reasoning ability
  • →Age-appropriate cognitive skills

Note: Early Years applicants (Nursery and KG) will undergo informal observation and interaction sessions rather than formal testing.

Important Dates & Deadlines

Academic Session 2025/2026

  • Application Opens:January 2026
  • Priority Deadline:June 30, 2026
  • Final Deadline:August 15, 2026
  • Academic Session Begins:September 2026

Mid-Year Admission

Limited spaces may be available for mid-year admission (January intake) for students transferring from other schools.

Mid-year applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis, subject to space availability and the student's ability to integrate into the ongoing academic program.
