From humble beginnings with three students to a comprehensive educational institution serving hundreds of families, Babcecil Schools has remained committed to providing quality education that transforms lives.
The Foundation
Babcecil School is a private, coeducational institution founded in September 1996 by Dr. Mrs. Cecilia Gbemisola Obisakin, with the unwavering support of her husband, Ambassador Lawrence Olufemi Obisakin. Located in New Karu, a settlement in the outskirts of Abuja but within Nasarawa State, the school is approximately twenty-two kilometers from Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory.
The first academic session commenced on Monday, September 9th, 1996, with three classes: Preschool, Nursery 1, and Primary 1. The school opened its doors with three boys in attendance, all enrolled in Primary 1.

Dr. Mrs. Cecilia Gbemisola Obisakin, who holds a combined honors degree in English Education from the Department of Education at the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, 1982), served as the school's first Headmistress from inception until October 1998, when she left with her husband on diplomatic posting to the State of Israel.

Main Campus - New Karu
Established in 1996, the main campus in New Karu has been the heart of Babcecil Schools for nearly three decades. Located at 7, Jerry Iya Crescent, near Kari Kari Junction, the campus offers comprehensive education from pre-primary through senior secondary levels.
Extension Campus - Dugbana
Initially established in 2008 as a boarding facility, the Dugbana campus was converted to a day school in 2022 due to security considerations and population dynamics. This extension campus continues to serve the educational needs of the Karu Local Government community.
